This past week was a little stressful. Right after we received the good news about my mom, she went into the doctors for a normal procedure but during surgery her esophagus was perforated. She was rushed to the emergency room and she has been at the hospital ever since. She cannot eat or drink until her esophagus is healed. So she could be in the hospital for another 8-10 days. So she had to miss my first baby shower yesterday. I wish she could have made it. I know she was very excited to celebrate her first grandchild. We took tons of photos to show her and we are hoping she heals soon so she can make it to the next shower!
Besides missing my mom at the shower, everything else was absolutely perfect. My sister and my best friend, Marisa threw the cutest nautical shower!! I am so thankful for both of them. They worked so hard on all of the details and they really did a wonderful job on everything! I have been blessed with the best group of friends and a lot of them drove several hours just to make it for the shower. It was so great to see everyone. It was hard living so far away from them for the past two years so I am very glad I am within driving distance now!
