Big News!!!

What's the big news??? We are MOVING! Yes, again. Now I actually HATE moving. It is a pain, time consuming, and overall exhausting. And after moving back to South Carolina in June, the last thing I want to do is to move again. Packing... blah!! But as most of you know, everything changes when you have a baby. And as soon as Harper arrived, our idea of an ideal living space drastically changed. In the past we wanted to live on the water, take out the boat, relax in our secluded yard.

Now we want to live in suburbia. We want neighbors and kiddies next door so Harper has plenty of friends to play with. And safety is our number one concern. We knew eventually the lake would go from being an everyday adventure to an everyday headache. Having a toddler around a large body of water would be a frequent concern that would take away from the joy of living on the lake.

Now that I am moving, I have a new house to decorate. If I had a million bucks, I would be really excited about this. But trying to decorate like I want to decorate, with my budget is nearly impossible. So in the meantime, I shall DREAM!!

If you are a dreamer like me, you are going to LOVE this web site! Olioboard allows you to experiment with interior design (for free!) The website allows you to create amazing mood boards.

An Olioboard (or mood board) is yours to craft — an interactive tool to experiment with the style and mood of a space. You can cleverly combine items to help dream up your interior design ideas. Check it out, I think you will love it! I know I do. But caution, it is a little addictive!

Right now I am loving the grey and yellow color combo trend. Here is a moodboard I threw together in about 10 mins. Possible master bedroom ideas???

  1. I'm loving yellow and gray also. My friends talked me out of it, but I almost wish I had gone with it instead. And I love decorating, but like you, don't have the budget for it. I have champagne taste with a root beer budget.

  3. Aw I used to love moving! I guess it's different when you're the parent though.

I haven't heard of that website though! I'm so excited to try it out. It just may be more addicting than polyvore!

  4. Welcome back to SC! My daughter is moving from Charleston to Alabama with a baby due in June. She's excited to move to a new place and get a little leg room, hopefully, in the country for a change. Love the yellow and gray. It reminds me of her nursery colors.

  5. Ooh thank you for the mood board site! I am a few steps behind you in that I am getting married and moving to SC. We will be living in a shoe box of an apartment, but I want to make it our little shoe box, on a very very tiny budget :)

I hope you find the perfect house!

  10. Ugh, I've moved so many times in my life that when we moved to Greenville and started looking at places downtown I had to nix that. I would have loved to live in downtown Greenville, but the expense combined with the thought that we would have to move to suburbia if we ever wanted a family was just too much. So we just bought our house in a quiet little neighborhood and haven't looked back since :)
