It's official, we had OVER six inches of snow. I would guess around 8 at our house. Greenville, SC is currently a winter wonderland. Yesterday we had that beautiful, fluffy snow. Erik and Fender had an absolute blast playing in it. Fender was hysterical. He hopped around in it like bunny. He would jump up with all feet up in the air at the same time and then pounce down into the snow. Then he would stick his nose down in it and flick it up into the air. We got some really cute video of it, I will have to post it once we upload the video on my computer.
We brought Harper outside to check it out for a few minutes. He seemed to like it. He was trying to look around and check everything out. He was a little stiff in his snow suit but he didn't seem to mind. I can't wait until we can play with him in the snow. We are really going to enjoy making snowmen and snow angels with him one day. We can go sledding and have the occasional snowball fight :)! In a way, having kids allows you become a bit of a kid again.
In other news, Verizon has FINALLY announced that they are releasing the iPhone on Feb. 13th. Wow, that took them awhile. I had been waiting since June to renew my contract in the hopes of getting an iPhone. Then last week, I gave in and got a Droid X. So far, I have loved my Droid X. There are a few things that I am still trying to get used to but the Droid X has a great 8 megapixel camera with a flash, talk to text, this Swype feature that makes texting really easy. I love all of the apps. And it has a nice big, clear screen. With that being said, I am a Mac user, so there is still something cool about having the iPhone. I have thirty days to return my Droid X. What do you all think I should do? I am still debating.
Harper has really grown over the past month. He loves to talk and I am pretty sure that he tries to have entire conversations with us sometimes. He loves using his hands. He will remove his pacifier and put it back in his mouth. He even learned how to knock over glasses on the table. As a matter of fact, he managed to knock over two glasses at lunch the other day. If there is a plate on the table we have to be careful because he already grabs for it and pushes it away. He can hold onto small bottles and tries to hold big ones by himself. It is sad when you realize how fast they grow up but it is so amazing to see him learn new things!
Harper is ADORABLE! Such a cute baby! :) Also, I am soooo happy Verizon is getting the Iphone! I will have to beg my dad for it. I think you should switch, too, since you have waited this long. Have a happy day!

Harper is SO cute!! How fun you got all of that snow -- we're about to get hit hard in NYC too!
ReplyDeleteI've had my iPhone for about a year and a half and can't say enough good things about it, but I've never had a Droid so I really don't know how they compare. I will say that I prefer my iPhone over any Blackberry...I had a Curve and I played with a friend's Storm and they were nothing compared to my iPhone!
ReplyDeleteHe is SO cute!! I've heard the droid is just as great as the iphone. I have stupid U.S. cellular so an iphone isn't an option for me : ( My trusty blackberry will do for now!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely get the iphone!
ReplyDeleteAww! I'm so glad y'all had a blast in the snow!! We got about 6" here and we had some fun playing too. Harper is so precious!!! Love the pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteso cute - can you believe all this SNOW!!!!?? I've been wondering same thing? I've waited SO LONG for Verizon to get the iPhone now I'm thinking - will I really love the iPhone as much as my Blackberry (i get so attached!) , but being a Mac user too - I'm thinking it's a definite. Just switch and give it a try - think that's what I'll do. :)
ReplyDeleteYour son is sooooo adorable! A real Gerber baby! :D
ReplyDeleteI cannot get enough of Harpers pictures, he is too adorable! Oh and I say get the iphone :) Im on my parents family plan still and my mom just signed up with Verizon and we got Droid X's and I miss my iphone :( Thinking about spending the $200 and upgrading to the iphone with Verizon :)
ReplyDeleteHarper is so adorable! I too was a diehard Apple fan, but in November my contract with AT&T ended so I switched to Sprint (it has the cheapest plans) and got an HTC Evo. I really do love my Droid. I miss some of the Aps that my Iphone had and I like the texting on the Iphone better but overall I am really happy with my Droid!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow pictures! And Harper is just the most adorable baby! Hope you guys are thawing out!
ReplyDeletep.s. I am also jonesing for the iPhone through Verizon. There has to be some advantage to waiting this long...XOXO
I just used my Verizon upgrade a few months ago, but I was trying to hold out for the iPhone, and of course, now they release it! So frustrating. If I was you, I'd return your Droid to try out the iPhone- you could always switch back if you didn't like it!
ReplyDeleteso cute!! i'm loving the snow photos it looks like you guys had a blast!
